Khum Khantoke, The Lanna cultural attraction, is known as the reception room of Chiang Mai province. Preserving the traditional Thai lifestyle in combination with a traditional Lanna atmosphere of clothing, language, dining and performances, it is presented under an exquisite and enchanted applied Lanna architecture that ensures satisfaction to all visitors.
Khum Khantoke was inaugurated on December 31st, 2000 by Mr. Wachara Tantranont , a native of Chiang Mai province. His gratitude towards his birth place encouraged him to develop Khum Khantoke and to preserve the local cultural knowledge and traditions for future generations, as well as to make this publically available for both local and foreign tourists to experience this cultural Lanna heritage.
Khum Khantoke is built on an area of 10 rai 1 ngan 94 square wah within the area of Chiang Mai Business Park at 139 Moo 4, T.Nongpakrang, Muang, Chiang Mai. The premises are, divided into sectors including Laan Khantoke, Khuang Khon Muang, Ruen Thai Plub Pla, Orchid terrace (Laan Kluay Mai ), Leelawadee room and Khum Kham.
